The purpose of this program is to promote visitation and friendly competition at the chapter level. Any and all chapter "participants" may participate in the capture of the Western Traveler Plaque. There will be NO minimum number of GWRRA members, representing their home chapter, required to capture the Western Traveler’s Plaque.
All members, whether full, associate, or family, attending a gathering will be eligible to capture the plaque. Each member 18 years of age and over will be given a ticket for the drawing of the plaque;
Within thirty five (35) days of capture, starting the day and hour captured, the capturing chapter must make the plaque available at their next monthly gathering or at their scheduled Chapter Special Event, whichever comes first. Once a chapter has captured the plaque, that chapter is not eligible to capture it at the next gathering or special event; however, if no other chapter is present to claim the plaque, then the previous chapter that held the plaque becomes eligible.
Please award the plaque within the first 15 minutes of the start of your gathering.
The capturing chapter will attach a visitation bar to the Western Traveler’s Plaque upon capture.
In the month of November, the only chapters eligible to capture the plaque are those with a scheduled gathering in November after the date they capture the plaque.
The chapter capturing the plaque the most times will receive permanent possession of the plaque for the year.
Each time a chapter captures the plaque their chapter's name will go into a drawing for $100.00.
The $100.00 and permanent possession of plaque will be given away at the 2021 North Carolina District Officer’s Conference held the last Saturday in January. The inclusive dates for this program are from date of Operations Meeting to
November 30th of each year.
This Plaque retires on November 30th, 2020.
Please get Plaque to Clyde Alexander as soon as possible after the deadline. |
